- Preheat grill to medium-high (350°F to 400°F). Peel onions; cut off bottoms just enough to form a flat surface. Carve out onions, leaving a half-inch shell. Set onion shells aside. Chop insides of onions; set aside.
- Grill onion shells over medium-high heat 5 minutes per side or until tender.
- Stir together chopped onion, celery, mayonnaise, lemon juice, Creole seasoning and pepper. Gently stir in crabmeat. Spoon crab mixture evenly into onion shells. Serve immediately with crackers and fresh fruit, if desired.
